WELCOME BETH RESCH!
Sadly, Mrs. Ferry is unable to finish the year with us due to personal reasons. Mrs. Resch has agreed to finish the rest of the year for us. She has been a second grade teacher and an ESE teacher for Waterleaf, Kernan Trail, and Brookview Elementary. She is also a Religious Education teacher for our parish. We are thrilled to have her on staff!
Please do not schedule doctor appointments during the hours of 8AM to 10AM, or family vacations from February 22nd through March 3rd when Catholic schools administer the Terra Nova test to grades 2nd through 8th grade.
EMPTY PAPER TOWEL ROLLS NEEDED
3rd graders need empty paper towel rolls for a project for farmers market.
LADY RAVEN VOLLEYBALL
Our volleyball team made it to the semi-finals and fought hard. They took St. Paul’s Beach to three sets, but lost the final match. Congratulations to Coach Hale and the Lady Ravens for a fantastic season!
100 DAYS OF KINDERGARTEN
Can you count to 100? Kindergarten can! A fun time was spent counting 100 of various objects.
4-H MEETING
Our next meeting is tomorrow, Thursday, February 2nd from 3 PM - 3:45 PM in Ms. Hugo’s classroom. Pick up is at the carpool line.
KIDS HEART CHALLENGE
Attention, Ravens! CTK will start the American Heart Association's Kids' Heart Challenge in mid-February. This program was formerly known as Jump Rope for Heart and focuses on overall wellness and personal health in kids. It emphasizes not only cardiovascular health and exercise, but also proper nutrition and emotional wellness. In PE during the month of February, we'll focus on those topics. Please contact Coach Yarborough at david.yarborough@ctkschooljax.com if you have any questions.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS
There is a new app on your student’s school-issued iPad, Screen Guide, with a kangaroo icon. This app will allow parents to set controls on the iPad during after-school hours. For example, a parent will be able to block websites, disable the iPad at a certain time, and remove a student’s screen password. For assistance, email our Technology Director at John.Beckert@ctkschooljax.com.
